Submitted by Fasharra Branagan on Mon, 11/21/2016 - 3:02pm

Join us in congratulating our first LiveHelp volunteer of the month, Oleksandr Tatarynstev! Not only has he exemplified what it means to be a LiveHelp Operator by assisting over 200 visitors to IllinoisLegalAid.org since June 2016, but in doing so, garnered the attention of our next Board President!

For those of you who have not heard of ILAO’s LiveHelp Program, it is an instant messaging service that we offer to visitors using our website. Every year, we are able to assist thousands of low-income Illinoisans in successfully navigating IllinoisLegalAid.org. With the help of amazing volunteers like Oleksandr, our users are able to find the answers to some of their most pressing legal questions!

Here are some “fun facts” about Oleksandr:

Hometown?
My hometown is Dnipropetrovsk. It's a city in the central part of Ukraine.

School/Alma Mater?
I attended Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, where I got my Bachelor and Master degrees in law.

What do you like most about volunteering with LiveHelp?
What I like most in this job is finding answers to questions that people ask in short a time. It develops the ability to perform tasks with time constraints.

Most memorable chat?
The most memorable chats are with people who say that I helped them a lot and were able to find what they were looking for.

Future plans & goals?
To become an attorney and continue to help people to solve their problems.
